What the service does
| Feature | What it means for the school |
|---|---|
| Absent alerts | When attendance is marked, parents of absent students get a WhatsApp message with the student's name and date. |
| Fee reminders | Reminders for due and overdue fees, sent only to the parents concerned. |
| Notices | Holidays, exam timetables, PTM dates and other notices to a class, section or the whole school. |
| Delivery reports | See which messages were sent, delivered and read, and which numbers failed. |
| Parent replies | Parents can reply on WhatsApp, and the school can answer from the dashboard. |
| School dashboard | For schools without software: mark attendance or upload an Excel sheet, and alerts go out from there. |
| ERP integration | Schools and ERP software companies can send alerts from their own system through our REST API, and receive delivery status by webhook. |
How it works
- Connect your number. The school connects its own WhatsApp Business number through Meta's sign-up flow. The number and the WhatsApp Business account belong to the school.
- Approve message templates. Alert formats (absent alert, fee reminder, notice) are submitted to Meta for approval before they can be sent.
- Add students and parents. Import from Excel or connect your ERP.
- Send. Alerts go out automatically from attendance, or the school sends a notice to a group.
Official WhatsApp Business Platform
The service uses the WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) provided by Meta. We do not use personal WhatsApp numbers, WhatsApp Web automation or unofficial tools. Those can get a school's number blocked, and they do not protect parents' data.
- WhatsApp and Meta are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc. Nipun India is not owned by or affiliated with Meta.
- Each school must follow the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy. Meta decides template approval and the school's messaging limits.
- Meta charges a fee for each template message, in addition to our service fee.
Parent consent
Schools may message only parents who have agreed to receive WhatsApp alerts. The simplest way is a consent line on the admission form, for example: "I agree to receive attendance, fee and school notices on WhatsApp on this number." Parents can stop alerts at any time by replying STOP or by asking the school.
We do not send promotional messages to parents on our own behalf, and we do not sell or share parents' numbers. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.
Pricing
Pricing has two parts:
- Platform fee: a monthly fee based on the number of students.
- Message charges: Meta's per-message charge for WhatsApp template messages. Alerts such as absent notices and fee reminders fall in Meta's lower-cost "utility" category.
